Benidean 'Gini' Costa Query

Benidean "Gini" Costa Query, 76, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1934 in Brazil to Benjamin Ball and Virginia Urbain Ball.

Gini was a homemaker and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies of the Moose, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a Lady Shriner.

She is survived by one daughter, Leilani Newkirk of Terre Haute; one son, Kenny Query and wife Regina of Terre Haute; three sisters, Gertrude Lee of Sullivan, Patricia Burnett of Brazil and Ann Bell Burnett of Brazil; one sister-in-law, Melva Buhl; six grandchildren, Shawn Query, Sunshine Monnett and husband Tony, Angela Whitehead and husband Bill, Michael Alan Newkirk II and wife Heather, Trey Query and wife Nicki and Casey Query; and 14 great-grandchildren, Gary Griffy, Billy Joe Whitehead II, Alaya Whitehead, Justyce Monnett, Perry Whitehead, Kamry Monnett, Alexis Griffy, Jaden Whitehead, Kaeyla Griffy, Garrett Monnett, Keaira Whitehead, Lanie Query, Michael Alan Newkirk III, Emma Marie Addisyn Newkirk.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth B. Query; son Randall Query; son-in-law, Michael Alan Newkirk; brother Lester Buhl; sister Norma Pierce; nephews Butch Lee and Jody Hadley; and nieces Lisa Marie Mallery and Teri Jo Lee.

Memorial services were held Wednesday at Greiner Funeral Home, Terre Haute. The Rev. Larry Spear officiated.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or Hospice of the Wabash Valley.

You gave us such a wonderful life and the most beautiful memories anyone could ever have. You are our angel from heaven. Thank you, Mother, for your constant love and devotion to your family.
