Monthly meeting planned for Thursday

Cloverdale Masonic Lodge No. 132 F&AM will hold its monthly stated meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. All masons and their friends and families are invited to dinner. There will also be a 50-year award.

Note the change in dinner hour.

Disability screenings set for Sept. 22

Old National Trail will sponsor screenings on Sept. 22 for children from 3-5 who have disabilities. Representatives from First Steps will also be on hand to screen disabled children aged 0-3.

The screening will take place at the Old National Trail central office, located in the Area 30 building.

Calling all singers for Christmas choir

A community Christmas cantata choir will begin practices at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 23 at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. The choir will perform Joseph Martin's cantata, "A World of Christmas," on Sunday, Dec. 12.

There will be two performances that day -- a 10 a.m. performance at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church and a 4 p.m. performance at the Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.

Director of Music and accompanist is Cheryl Beck. Patrick Meyer will be the choir director.

Learn business skills on Sept. 23

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce will host a half-day seminar, "Managing Your Business by the Numbers," on Sept. 23.

The seminar will take place at the Putnam County Public Library from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will be conducted by Dick Pittelkow, business consultant for West Central ISBDC.

A continental breakfast will be served. Cost is $10 per person.
