Father-son bonding

Monday, September 20, 2010
Tom Standers and his son Elijah Standers pitch their tent for this weekend's Boy Scouts Fall Camporee in Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle. The father and son pair were one of a couple dozen tents in the park from Boy Scout Troop 99. Jason Fagt, the Webelos One den leader, said camping out is one of the big pushes under current Boy Scout leadership. "This is our 100th anniversary, and it's really helped with recruiting this year," Fagt said. Banner Graphic/JOSH GARVEY

  • We rode by the park on Saturday night and we saw all the tents set up, this was a very awesome site. We also enjoyed seeing the movie theater on the softball diamond...this would be great to have for all of Greencastle during the summer. Great Job Boy Scouts!
