DePauw cyclists compete at USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS -- The 2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals kicked off in Indianapolis Thursday at Major Taylor Velodrome on the campus of Marian University.

Local cyclists from DePauw University will be taking part in the competition that ends on Saturday.

During the women's 3,000 meter time trials, Rita Klofta was sixth overall with a time of 4:14.65 and Sheah Hilton was 31st with a time of 5:06.62.

In the men's 4,000 meter trial, Paul Mooney was 54th with a time of 5:40.32, with Christopher Day finishing 59th in a time of 5:57.72. Mooney was also 67th in the men's 1,000 meter trial, while teammate Aaron Fioritto was 37th in a time of 1:14.67.

Klofta was first overall in the Division II female 3,000 Omnium, earning 25 points. Teammate Hilton as sixth.
