Berry Street Flea Market celebrates 36 years

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Berry Street residents will be celebrating 36 years in business with the annual Berry Street Flea Market, which is set for Oct. 2.

The usual traditions will include the serving of bean soup and cornbread in the front yard of Randy and Rhonda Evans on South College Avenue. There will also be an array of other items on their menu.

There will be plenty of food and sweet treats throughout the flea market as attendees shop the many yards, porches, driveways and garages.

Stretching east to west from Jackson Street to Bloomington Street and several of the north and south streets in between, shoppers can expect to find just about anything they can imagine, from seller's junk to buyer's treasures.

Berry Street is located one mile south of the courthouse square in Greencastle. Port-o-lets will be placed on Warren Street (between Indiana and Jackson streets) and in the parking lot on the east side of Berry Insurance.

The city has exempted the no-parking regulation on the south side of Berry Street for the day.
