Rosella Pflueger

Rosella Pflueger, 83, of Brazil passed away at Exceptional Living Center Sunday Sept. 26, 2010.

She was born Oct. 26, 1926 in Putnam County, the daughter of Jesse L. and Mary (Barnett) Fisher. She graduated from Reelsville High School. Following high school she worked as a telephone operator and a waitress at Davis Store in Reelsville.

Rosella was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod and served as youth group leader for many years.

She was joined in marriage to Herman A. Pflueger Jr. on March 1, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1988. Together they raised six children.

Rosella leaves behind her sons Michael A. Pflueger and wife Sue of Brazil and Myron L. Pflueger and wife Christy of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughters Sandy Gibbens and husband Terry of Knightsville, Cindy Boswell of Brazil and Amelia A. Martin and husband Daryl of Brazil; grandchildren Jasen Gibbens and wife Stacy, Justen Gibbens and wife Beth, Jared Gibbens and wife Jamie, Freda Rose Collier and husband Jason, Matthew A. Pflueger, Angela White and husband Phil, Eric L. Pflueger and wife Marcy, Gregory L. Pflueger and wife Lindsay, Melanie Sue Ann Pflueger, Andrew L. Killion and wife Heather, Autumn R. Drake and husband Sean, Randy J. Martin and wife Jenny, Michael S. Martin and wife Leah, Anthony R. Martin, Jeremy A. Martin, Jesse D. Martin and Chelsea A. Martin; 20 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); sisters Madonna A. Decker and Marie E. Sweetwood; brother Robert L. Fisher; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two stillborn infants, Matthew and Milan Pflueger; son Mark Leslie Pflueger; granddaughter Leslie Jane Pflueger; and siblings Jim Fisher, Nellie Mae Andrade, Virginia Fisher and Earl L. Fisher.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Tom Woodley officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
