Daniel E. Allen

Daniel E. Allen, 66, of Greencastle passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.

He was born on April 21, 1944 in Greencastle to Edgar E. Allen and Lillian L. McCullough Allen. 



Danny was a 1963 graduate of Greencastle High School and served as the Ridpath Primary School crossing guard for 45 years.



Surviving are his sister, Mary L. Allen; aunt Garnet McCullough; niece Stacie Waddell and husband Joe; two great-nephews, Zakk and Michael; and one great-niece, Elizabeth. 



His parents and sister Vera Allen preceded him in death. 



Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Brick Chapel Cemetery, with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating. 



Danny, who never met a stranger, will always be remembered for his love of basketball and fishing.
