OFF! debut assaults your eardrums

Anger knows no age, at least not if you're Keith Morris.

The original lead singer of Black Flag the Circle Jerks has formed punk supergroup OFF! with Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides) and Mario Rubalca (Earthless, Rocket from the Crypt, Hot Snakes).

With four songs clocking in at 4:15, this is punk the way it was done 30 years ago -- angry, loud, brief.

The sheer volume and rage of the music carries the EP, and makes it a refreshing break from today's music scene. If you blink, you've missed it -- all of it.

OFF! "1st EP" is available Oct. 12 from Vice Records as a limited edition vinyl EP. It will also be repackaged as part of the "1st Four EPs" vinyl box set, available Nov. 23.
