Cougars remain perfect
INDIANAPOLIS -- The North Putnam Cougars remained perfect on the season after their 43-8 victory over Indianapolis Howe Friday.
The Cougars rushed for 217 yards and passed for another 64 in the win.
North Putnam opened the game with a 23-point first quarter. Hank Spencer got things going for Cougars with a 24-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Following a safety, Travis Franklin returned a kickoff 60 yards for a score and Jordan Murphy scored on a seven-yard scamper.
In the second quarter, Kolton Everts rushed for one score and passed to Aaron Vondersaar for another to have the Cougars up 36-0 at the half.
The final North Putnam touchdown was scored by Travis Kratt on a seven-yard run in the third quarter.
The Cougars will host Cloverdale in their season finale Friday at 7 p.m.
