GREENCASTLE -- Putnam County Hospital has announced diabetes self-management classes for November. Full-day sessions are planned on Nov. 4 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The class series is divided into two separate sessions: Diabetes 101 and Diabetes 201.

The 101 class is led by a registered nurse certified diabetes educator who will discuss "What is diabetes?", along with strategies to manage and prevent diabetes.

A registered clinical dietitian will lead the 201 class discussing the role that nutrition plays in diabetes health and wellness.

The fee for the two-class session is $25 if collected on the day of the class. Participants receive a $5 discount if the fee is pre-paid prior to the class.

Reservations may be made by calling the PCH central scheduling team at 658-2760.
