Putnam County Sheriff's Department

* Nov. 8, 7:25 a.m.: Anthony C. Howard, 32, Bainbridge, was eastbound on U.S. 26E when a deer ran in front of his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and he was unable to avoid hitting the animal with the right front of his car.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.

* Nov. 8, 5:23 p.m.: Sara Counterman, 23, Terre Haute, was eastbound on U.S. 40 in a 1996 Ford F150 when she saw Jennifer Taylor, 25, Quincy, crossing the road at CR 1000E in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. Taylor said she was stopped in the median waiting from SR 75 to CR 1000E. She said she saw a van cross in front of her, but could not see Counterman's pickup due to the glare of the sun. She attempted to cross and was struck near the rear tire.

Counterman's 1-year-old son was in a car seat in the truck's back seat in the back seat of her truck. His mother said he seemed confused so Operation Life transported him to Putnam County Hospital for evaluation.

Counterman's vehicle towed by Belle Union Towing. Taylor's vehicle towed by her husband. Damage $5,001-$10,000.

Lonnie Leroy Keeney, 53, Greencastle: Sexual misconduct with a minor, Nov. 9, 1:07 a.m.

Michael Perry John Rose, 23, Brownsburg: Probation violation, Nov. 8, 1:45 p.m.
