Walter Michael Class III

Walter Michael Class III, 63, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010.

He was born Oct. 30, 1947.

Walter leaves behind his loving wife, Katherine Hoene; mother, Violet (Martin) Class; two sons, Walter Michael Class IV and daughter-in-law Jennifer of St. Cloud, Fla. and Robert Class of Bloomfield; stepchildren, Christopher Wikle, Leisa Crandall and Barbara Black-Kurdziolek, all of Bloomington; brother, Keith Class of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Ruth Class, Helen Helton and Sally Class, all of Spencer; seven step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by wife, Pearl Class of Bloomfield, and father, Walter Michael Class II of Spencer.

Walter was a member of Christ Community Church in Bloomington.

Walter attended Ivy Tech State College where he earned an associates degree in heating and cooling with honors. He is retired from Otis Elevator after more than 38 years of service.

Walter was newly married to wife, Kathy, this past May. He left this world for his heavenly home on their 6-month wedding anniversary while on a cruise. Walter loved to play poker and enjoyed life. He was an avid fisherman and collector. He also enjoyed hunting and boating, theme parks and activities with his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by all.

Friends may pay their respects at a memorial service Friday at 6 p.m. at Christ Community Church at 1681 N. College Ave. behind Colorado Steak House in Bloomington.

Flowers may be sent to the church between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Additional visitation services will be held at a later date, yet to be announced, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, with a graveside service at Calvertville Cemetery.
