Paige Tesmer's eighth grade community projects class and Greencastle Middle School has spent this nine weeks collecting 133 non-perishable goods for the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. The class chooses a new service project each grading period. The students have also served the Humane Society of Putnam County this semester. Miller said numbers are way up at the food pantry, so any and all donations are welcome to remain well stocked. "It is such a blessing to us to feed the hungry of Putnam County and to hear many say to us that this is a blessing to them as they can have some food since they are out of work, ill or facing many other hardships," Miller said.
