Hospital thankful for guild's support

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Hospital Board of Trustees, Administration and Staff, we would like to publicly recognize, honor, and thank the Putnam County Hospital Guild. This fall, Guild members presented two checks to the Hospital Administrators, Dennis Weatherford, CEO, and Joni Perkins, RN, Director of Nursing, for two projects.

The first check, in the amount of $15,000, was presented in support of a staff computer lab for yearly educational training and compliance. The second check, $2,000, was presented in continued support of the Putnam County Health Careers Foundation for a scholarship program for Putnam County residents wishing to pursue an education in a health-related field.

The Guild has been in existence for many, many years and has always been very supportive of the hospital's mission for excellence. We greatly appreciate their financial support and their selfless volunteering of time and service.
