North Putnam Youth Basketball League sign ups announced

The youth basketball league will be having sign ups on Dec. 11 for kindergarten through sixth grade for boys and girls at the middle school. The fee is $40 per player.

Each child is encouraged to bring gym shoes, shorts and a basketball for evaluations. Sign up times will be:

* 9 a.m. -- Fifth and sixth grade girls

* 9:45 a.m. -- Fifth and sixth grade boys

* 10:30 a.m. -- Third and fourth grade girls

* 11:15 a.m. -- Third and fourth grade boys

* Noon -- First and second grade girls

* 12:45 p.m. -- First and second grade boys

* Kindergarten -- Any time during regular sign-ups

An alternative sign up date is Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. until noon at the middle school for all ages for those unable to attend on the 11th. A late sign up fee of $50 will be accepted through Dec. 14.
