North Putnam takes down 400 free relay record

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam coed swim team battled Owen Valley Tuesday, with the boys winning 107-42 and the girls losing 83-20.

Dane Gray, Jeremy Ban, Colton Smith and Jared James teamed up to take down the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:43.69.

James also won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:37.36, while Smith won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.70. Ban captured the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:00.05 and the 100-yard freestyle in 51.97.

Gray was tops in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.16 and Joey Lehr won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:13.09.

Gray, Ban, James and Smith also won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:41.23.

For the girls, Michelle Harper won both the 200-yard IM (2:52.07) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:06.94). Autumn Wolf placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:32.64.
