LaDonna Ellison

LaDonna Ellison, 91, of Greencastle passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1919 in Finly to Samuel A. Swain and Jesse Boring Swain. Mrs. Ellison married Allen M. Ellison on July 12, 1952 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2005.

A graduate of Central Normal Teacher's College, Butler University and DePauw University, Mrs. Ellison taught grade school in New Palestine, Terre Haute and at Ridpath in Greencastle.

Her parents; brother, Wendell Swain; and sister, Charlene McClellan also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her sons, John Ellison and wife, Melissa of Reelsville and Paul Ellison of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Heidi Ellison and Hannah Ellison; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Palestine Cemetery.
