2 vehicles, 2 accidents

Friday, January 7, 2011
Two cars slid off of U.S. 36 W Thursday when the road became slick with snowfall. Shortly after 3 p.m. Steven Buchanan's purple Buick Rainier went off the road on 36 heading towards U.S. 231. His car came to rest upside down in the front yard of 5708 U.S. 36 W, Putnam County Sheriff's deputy Philip Troyer said.

At roughly the same time a little further west, Lynn Holt Jr.'s grey Saturn sedan, bottom, came off the road and flipped. Troyer said that Holt told him a semi passed him and blew him off the road. Both men went to Hendricks County Hospital with hip pain.

  • Drivers....please use the 3 c's : Caution, Common sense and Courtesy and avoid some accidents. Of course, the semi accident ....I sure hope the driver of the semi noticed what happened and stopped to help.
