Everett Ray Curran

Everett Ray Curran, 75, Summit, Ark., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. He was born Dec. 25, 1935 in Bainbridge and was the son of Raywood and Lena Lith Curran.

Everett was a member of the Baptist Church in Barnard and was retired from his lifelong occupation of farming, moving to Arkansas after his retirement in 1998.

Everett was married to Dianne Bell Curran on July 25, 1987 and she survives. He is also survived by his children Raymond of Bainbridge, Marlin and wife Christina of Lagoda and Joanne Balmaceda and husband Siracue of Crawfordsville; stepchildren Nicole Cox and husband Randy of Cotter, Ark.,Theresa Rothenberger and husband David of Nashville, Tenn., Paula Roper and husband Larry of Summit, Ark., Jennifer Brown of Indianapolis, Mitchell Bell and wife Ericka of Greencastle; brothers John Curran of Linton and Bob Curran of Bainbridge; 22 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first two wives, Donna J. Carrington Curran in 1955 and Norma E. Cope Curran in 1972, and a daughter, Donna Lyn, in 1961.

A public memorial service will be held at the Roachdale Christian Church on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Heart Association.
