Tree limb pickup scheduled

The Greencastle Department of Public Works will be doing a tree limb pickup only (no other debris) beginning March 1 through 11, following the trash route days as best they can.

No limbs over 8 inches in diameter will be picked up. The department will only be making one round down each road and will not be coming back through.

Residents are advised to put limbs out the week prior to pickup. Limbs should be near the curb or between the sidewalk and street. Those without a curb or sidewalks should put limbs near the street, not in it.

This is all weather permitting.

If contractors cut or trimmed limbs, it is their responsibility to dispose of them.

Notification of any updates will be submitted to the Banner Graphic and WREB as well as posted on the City of Greencastle Web site.

Additionally, the West Central Solid Waste District will be open on March 5 and 12 from 10 a.m. to noon for any who wish to take their limbs there.
