Dallas D. Ellis

Dallas D. Ellis, 81, Cloverdale, formerly of Eminence, passed away on Feb. 14, 2011 at the Putnam County Hospital, Greencastle. He was born on Feb. 25, 1929 at Hustonville, Ky. and was the son of the late Cobert and Mary Lou (Powers) Ellis.

He was married to Jody (Hays) Ellis and she preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2003. He was co-owner of Jody's Bait and Tackle at Eminence and was a retired truck driver for RCA.

He is survived by his children, Tia A. Brummett and husband Gary, Cloverdale, Gary Allen Ellis, Gilbert Wayne Ellis and Dallas Cobert Ellis; daughter-in-law, Joann Freeman, Ellettsville and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by his son, John Freeman and a sister.

Private services will be held and interment will be in the Shumaker Cemetery at Eminence.
