Making Change

Third and fourth graders at Cloverdale elementary school help sort money gathered as a part of a Pennies for Patients fundraiser. The fundraiser raises money to help combat blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The funds are grouped by class, and the class that raises the most money will have a pizza party. Hannah Rady is sorting some of the money. Tammy Kemp, the student council sponsor, said the campaign has raised over $500 so far. She also said Mrs. Ladd's class has raised the most money at $86. A former Cloverdale student, Nicklaus Gerlach is currently diagnosed with leukemia and at Riley Hospital.
