Matt Cox named Bowler of the Year

Matt Cox, a senior at Greencastle High School, was named the High School Bowler of the Year in the Wabash Valley South Conference.

Cox has bowled since the age of four in Greencastle youth leagues. When he was a freshman, the Putnam County High School conference was formed at Alex Alleys. He helped his team reach the regional every year.

This year with Alex Alleys closed, the teams competed in the Wabash Valley Conference. Matt's high game this year was 279 which he bowled in the regional during the team event. He carried a 204 average in competition this season.

Scott Dever, manager of Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette and the co-coordinator of the Wabash Valley Conference, nominated Cox for the award.
