Wednesday, March 16, 2011
In celebration of Girl Scouts Week, local service troupe No. 183 presented a gift basket to Emma Kane, daughter of Pamela Kane of Cloverdale, who was born on March 13 at 8:28 a.m. at Putnam County Hospital. Emma was delivered by Dr. Jamie Cooper. This service unit project involves all of the northern Putnam County Girl Scout Troupes. The Girl Scout birthday is celebrated on March 12 each year. The troupe decided to present a basket again this year to the first baby girl born on or near March 12, according to Windy Watt, FNP with North Putnam Family Healthcare and Daisy Troupe 02273 Leader of Bainbridge. The gift basket included items such as booties, hats, onesies, bibs and other baby items. Present for the presentation included Madi Woodall, Emily Scott, Katie Watt, Faith Phillips, Bailey Stoultey, Kylee McCullough, Brittany Ricketts and Josalyn Cox.
