Parts & Labor, 'Constant Future'

Ever wonder what Hüsker Dü would sound like 24 years after their breakup? Unless you're an indie rock dork, probably not. Either way, the answer is Parts & Labor's new album "Constant Future," released March 8 on Jagjaguwar.

For existing fans of the band, the new record is a progression of the sound they've already established. These are pop songs obscured by layer upon layer of experimental noise rock. The witty hooks and infectious melodies of co-singer-songwriters Dan Friel and BJ Warshaw are hidden beneath a turn-it-up-to-11 buzzsaw of electronic music.
