Sisters of Providence host weekend for women thinking about religious life

The Sisters of Providence will host a "Come and See" weekend April 8 through 10 at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Catholic women ages 18 to 42 who are considering a call to apostolic religious life are invited to attend.

Participants will be able to engage in group prayer, group discussion, personal reflection, a service activity and will connect with a sister companion. Sister Nancy Nolan will speak on "Apostolic Religious Life: A Response to the Longing."

The Sisters of Providence, a Congregation of nearly 400 women religious, have their motherhouse at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, located northwest of Terre Haute. Saint Mother Theodore Guerin founded the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in 1840. Today, Sisters of Providence minister in 19 states, the District of Columbia and Asia.
