Roachdale needs more vendors for Summerfest

Thursday, April 7, 2011

ROACHDALE -- The town of Roachdale is preparing for its annual Summerfest festival and is looking for vendors for the two-day event.

All food vendor spaces are filled, but other organizations can fill the many available spaces left.

The event will take place starting at 4 p.m. Friday, June 24, and then continue at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 25. Several staples, such as the VFW fish fry and the Roach Races, will still take place.

Not-for-profit organizations can get one 10'x10' space for free after showing their not-for-profit determination letter. Otherwise, 10'x10' spaces can be rented for $30, and discounts will be given to those renting three or more spaces.

The town is also looking for local and out-of-county vendors who can sell different specialty items.

For an application, interested parties can go to the Friends of the Park website at www.friendsoftheparkrussellville.org/roachdalesummerfest.html and scroll down to vendor applications. Questions can be sent to Dianna Gorrell at fotprussellville@sbcglobal.net or at 435-2813.
