Easter Bonnets

Monday, April 25, 2011
Mill Pond Health Campus turned their clocks back to yesteryear for a time when the Easter bonnet was the fashion of all ladies. The ladies fancied their bonnets during the inaugural Mill Pond Easter Parade and Contest. The judges (back, from left) were Cheryl Spencer of State Farm Insurance, Alison Garrett of Visiting Angels, Melissa Marquardt of Horizon Hospice, Jennifer Bedwell of Putnam County Hospital and Tammy Amor of the Chamber of Commerce. Guests and participants were entertained with music by Wayne Howery, including "In Your Easter Bonnet." Winners of the Easter Bonnet Contest (from left) were: Most Old Fashioned, Eva Butler, Marilyn Arbuckle and Ruth King; Prettiest, Pat Berger; Most Unusual, Jackie Vandermore; and Most Modern, Pauline Johnson. Each participant painted and decorated her own bonnet. Prizes were donated by Horizon Hospice and Visiting Angels.
