Colts-themed Dixie Chopper awarded to contest winner

Dixie Chopper and the Indianapolis Colts partnered last season to give one lucky fan his own Colts-themed Dixie Chopper lawn mower.

Those familiar with Dixie Chopper are accustomed to getting top results from an industry-leading product. Now Steve Von Hoene of Seymour will see those results firsthand.

Von Hoene recently won the Indianapolis Colts-themed Dixie Chopper zero-turn mower. He had registered to win the Dixie Chopper in the Fan Zone at a Colts' home game last season.

Known as "The World's Fastest Lawn Mower," his new Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle 2760HP is going to drastically reduce the time he spends cutting his grass. The mower, painted Indianapolis Colts blue and white, is the same mower that has been used by Blue the Mascot to entertain fans during halftime shows at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Blue was on hand for the presentation and congratulated Von Hoene, but was disappointed to see his mower leaving.

Prior to winning the new lawn mower, Von Hoene said he could only watch in envy as his neighbor cut grass on a Dixie Chopper. His neighbor, a loyal Dixie Chopper user, had long bragged to Von Hoene about its speed, quality and reliability.

After receiving his prize, Von Hoene was excited to get home from the Colts Complex and cut the grass. He even had plans to show off his one-of-a-kind mower to the neighborhood before getting it dirty.

Dixie Chopper Indiana territory manager Brice Hill of Fillmore, who was also on hand for the presentation, noted that the partnership between the Colts and Dixie Chopper was "a great fit." Both represent speed and precision, and the end product was a one-of-a-kind lawn mower that is already famous in Seymour.
