Thursday, May 12, 2011
On Monday, the Putnam County Retired Teachers Association awarded its 2011-12 scholarship to 2008 Greencastle High School graduate Kelsey Hennette. Hennette is entering her senior year at Butler University, where she is studying early middle childhood and earning a mild intervention license. During her senior year, she will be student teaching at Indianapolis Public School No. 90 during first semester and in fourth grade at Roby Elementary during second semester. Pictured for the presentation were, from left, parents John and Cindy Hennette, Kelsey, President Mariette Bargen and Maureen Wagner of the scholarship committee. The Putnam County Retired Teachers meet the second Monday of September, October, November, March, April and May at noon at the Putnam Inn. Any retired teacher is welcome to attend, regardless of the level taught or the location, whether inside Putnam County or out. For more information, contact Bargen at 653-6169.
