Rhea D. Myers

Rhea D. Myers, 92, of Greencastle passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1919 in Greene County, Indiana to Charles V. Bergen and Zella Crabbe Bergen.

Mrs. Myers was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, and had been employed as a receptionist at Bishop Roberts Hall at DePauw University and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts in Rockville.

Her parents and a brother, Charles Bergen preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband of 72 1/2 years, Henry E. Myers; six children, Ronald E. Myers and wife Reyna of Laveen, AZ, Martha D. Sechman and husband Bob of Mooresville, Duane C. Myers of Greencastle, Diane L. Pingleton and husband Jack of Peoria, AZ, Jon W. Myers and wife Ruth of Greencastle, and Daniel B. Myers and wife Patty of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Mary Mattingly of Indianapolis; a brother, John Bergen and wife Barbara of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Wes Kendall officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home.
