Patricia Ann 'Patty' Michael

Patricia Ann "Patty" Michael, 55, of Greencastle passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1956 in Greencastle to Charles Edward Michael and Mary Ann Guthrie Michael.

Patty was a 1974 graduate of South Putnam High School and attended Bob Jones University. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Indianapolis and had been employed at Barrett and Stokely in Indianapolis, at Meijer as a cake decorator and at Wheeler Mission Ministries.

Her father preceded her in death.

Surviving are her mother, Mary Staley; three sisters, Jean Steele and husband Dale of Brownsburg, Linda Baird and husband Mark of Tipton, and Chris Sheldon and husband Ernie of Reelsville; nephews, Darren Steele and wife Sasse, Evan Steele, Collin Steele, Joshua Baird, and Jacob Baird; and nieces, Valerie Haddon and husband Justin, and Kristi Kennedy and husband Matthew

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, with Kenny Walden and Calvin Walden officiating. Interment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials in Patty's name may be made to Greencastle Christian Church Youth Ministries, 620 Primrose Lane, Greencastle, IN 46135. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
