City Police

One arrest was reported recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

At 7:21 p.m. Wednesday, Michael L. Jackson Jr., 20, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman and Officer Darrel Bunten for battery on a child under the age of 14. Jackson was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

At 9:54 p.m. Wednesday, Officer Matt Huffman stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered an unopened container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Huffman subsequently cited Joshua A. M. Burdette, 18, Cloverdale, for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.

A pair of citations were issued to a Coatesville driver Wednesday afternoon on Bloomington Street.

At 3:19 p.m., Vieira Dixon, 79, was cited for driving left of center and for operating a vehicle without proof of financial responsibility.

City Fire

June 2, 1:54 p.m.: Medical assist at 1901 E. State Road 240. Cleared 2:11 p.m.
