Imagination Library

Wednesday, June 8, 2011
In an effort to support literacy among the youth of Putnam County, the Friends of the Putnam County Public Library has become the local organizer for Imagination Library. The program, started by Dolly Parton in 1996, mails age-appropriate books to children each month from birth to age five. The program is available at no cost to families and has no socio-economic requirements. For more information, families may contact the library at 653-2755. Delta Theta Tau recently made a donation to Friends of the Library to support the program. Present for the presentation were, from left, PCPL Children's Librarian Cortina Ziuchkovski, Rita Ferguson and Cheryl Danberry of Delta Theta Tau, PCPL Director Alice Greenburg and Cathryn Ensley of Friends of the Library.
