13th Annual Purdue Open begins June 29

The 13th annual Purdue Open Golf Scramble, sponsored by the Purdue Club of Putnam County, will be played Wednesday, June 29, at Old Hickory Golf Course.

Purdue guests for the scramble and dinner following will be Leroy Keyes, head track coach Jack Warner, supervisor of football operations Casey Nuss, Purdue Alumni Association Senior Director Ben Paolillo and Gold and Black Illustrated sportswriter Kyle Charters.

Registration for the scramble will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. The scramble will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Dinner following the scramble will take place at Autumn Glen at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to both the scramble and the dinner. The club's 2011 scholarship recipients will be honored.

Cost for golf and lunch is $50 per person or $200 for a team. Dinner cost is $20 per person. Gold hole sponsorships are available for $100 and black hole sponsorships for $50.

Proceeds from the annual golf scramble benefit the club's scholarship endowment fund at the Putnam County Community Foundation.
