Marcia L. McGuire

Mrs. Marcia Lynn McGuire, 65, of Greencastle, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the St. Vincent Hospice facility in Indianapolis.

Born Nov. 16, 1945 in Greencastle, she was daughter of Norman C. and Maxine "Macky" (Sutherlin) Hill and was a graduate of Greencastle High School Class of 1964. She married Ronald I. McGuire on Dec. 15, 1968 and he survives.

Marcia had been a homemaker and ran a daycare at her residence for several years. She was a member of the Hanna Street Baptist Church where she also served as the pianist.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Ronald Scott (Teresa) McGuire of Greencastle, Andrew Colby McGuire of Greencastle, and Perry Matthew (girlfriend, Jamie) McGuire of Indianapolis; brothers, David (Sandra) Hill of Bloomington and Mark Meagher of Greencastle; a sister, Becky Sowers of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Marissa, Joshua and Abigail McGuire; an uncle, Ernie (Hazel) Hill and an aunt, Marguerite Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13 at the Hanna St. Baptist Church with the Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 12 from 4-8 p.m.
