Sandra K. Smith

Sandra K. Smith, 63, of Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at IU University Hospital. She was born on March 16, 1948 in Indianapolis and was the daughter of the late Robert Lawrence Miller, Sr. and Dorothy Maxine (Bennett) Miller.

She was a member of the Cloverdale First Baptist Church, Women of the Moose No. 138 at Greencastle. She had retired from Heartland Automotive, Greencastle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan Lynn Melcher and Sherry Faith Rowe.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas E. Smith, Jr., Florissant, Colo. and Timothy J. Smith, Sr., Greencastle; her sister, Shawn (Richard) Hughes, Greenwood; her brothers, Robert L. (Patricia) Miller, Jr., Plainfield, Stephen (Cheryle) Miller, Greenfield, Randall B. (Linda) Miller, Indianapolis; and her grandchildren, Violet Smith and T. J. Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, at noon at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on held from 10 a.m. until service time.
