Mrs. Syble A. Lewis, 86, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at her residence.

Born Dec. 3, 1924 in Golden, Miss., the daughter of Thomas Lloyd and Floy Lee (Keahey) Hale.

She was preceded in death by her husbands,.

Syble had been a homemaker and a member of the Somerset Christian Church/Life-spring Church.

Survivors include her children, Ronnie (Terry) VanBibber, Bill (Nancy) VanBibber, and Linda VanBibber; sisters, Julene Hodnett, Rachel Frost, Dorothy Bryant, Mary Bell, and Frances Stewart; brothers, Louis Hale and Marvis Hale; ten grandchildren, Belinda Carrington, AndreaVanBibber, Duane VanBibber, Bradley VanBibber, Brent Reed, Jeff VanBibber, Evan VanBibber, Syble Paris, Ryan VanBibber, and Sara Deal; several great and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Virgil E. VanBibber and Lindsay Lewis; parents; brother, Clinton Hale, and a great-grandchild, Jadence Rain VanBibber.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, at the Lifespring Church, 5038 N. Hwy 231, Greencastle, with the Pastor Scott Volland officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 3-7 p.m.
