WGRE's Putnam County Primetime returns Friday

DePauw's WGRE announced Wednesday the Putnam County Game of the Week schedule for the fall 2011 high school football season.

Below is the weekly schedule of regular season games:

Aug. 19 -- South Putnam at Owen Valley, 7 p.m.

Aug. 26 -- West Vigo at Greencastle, 7 p.m.

Sept. 2 -- Monrovia at Cloverdale, 7 p.m.

Sept. 9 -- Triton Central at Greencastle, 7 p.m.

Sept.16 -- North Putnam at Danville, 7 p.m.

Sept. 23 -- Cloverdale at South Putnam, 7 p.m.

Sept. 30 -- Monrovia at North Putnam, 7 p.m.

Oct. 7 -- Greencastle at Cascade, 7 p.m.

Oct.14 -- Cascade at South Putnam, 7 p.m.

South Putnam will be featured three times, including the opening week's matchup at Owen Valley. Greencastle plays three times and North Putnam twice on the Putnam County Game of the Week.

Cloverdale makes its fall 2011 debut on WGRE against Monrovia on Sept. 2. The Clovers' matchup with South Putnam will also be broadcasted on WGRE.

Putnam County Prime Time, WGRE's high school gridiron pre-game show, precedes every game beginning at 6 p.m. WGRE's sports staff breaks down all the Putnam County games and interviews county coaches and experts to provide prep football fans the most complete coverage leading up to kickoff every Friday night.

The Fifth Quarter, formerly the Putnam County Post Game show, will begin its second year on the WGRE airwaves this fall.
