One alcohol-related arrest was reported recently by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 2:29 p.m. Wednesday, Timothy Lee Miller, 41, Greencastle, was arrested at Round Barn Manor apartments on the city's East Side by Officers Jeff Modlin and Ed Wilson.

Miller, who registered .21 percent blood-alcohol content under portable breathalyzer testing, was lodged in the Putnam County Jail for violation of probation.

Meanwhile, a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening was investigated by city officers.

Nicole Wertz, 17, Bainbridge, was eastbound on Washington Street, slowing her 1998 Buick Regal for a red light at Wood Street when her car was struck from the rear by a 2003 Volkswagen Passat, driven by Emilia Shiring, 19, Louisville.

Officer Darrel Bunten estimated total damage in the 7:15 p.m. mishap at $2,500-$5,000.

One recent traffic citation was issued by GPD officers.

-- At 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, William Crawley II, 34, Greencastle, was ticketed on Indianapolis Road by Officer Matt Huffman for having an expired license plate.
