The Cloverdale girls' golf team placed second in a tri-match with Southmont and South Vermillion Tuesday. The Clovers tied Southmont with a total of 193, but fell to the Mounties of a fifth card tie-breaker.

Sydney Shrum led the Clovers with a low-round of 36. She was followed by Victoria Boyette with a 49 and MaKayla Moore with a 53. Anna Spencer shot a 55 and Dani Ellebrecht shot a 60 for the Clovers.

"It was nice to see our team put back-to-aback good performances," head coach Matt Landgon said. "We want to become a team who consistently breaks 200 and this week has been a step in that direction. Sydney posted another sub 40 score. Her game has really come together this week. It was also nice to see that fourth score in the 50s. We have been searching for that all year. Anna stepped up and provided that for us tonight."
