Fishing Skills Day held at McCloud Nature Park Saturday

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

Summer may be coming to a close but there are still plenty of activities to do outdoors.

This Saturday, Sept. 10 from noon-3 p.m., a free program will be held at McCloud Nature Park to teach the community basic fishing skills. The program will begin at the Nature Center at McCloud Nature Park and then move to Big Walnut Creek to fish. How to rig a fishing pole and cast a line are just a few of the things that will be covered at the event.

Anglers over the age of 17 are required to bring a valid Indiana fishing license. As always the catch and release practice will be enforced to preserve resources.

For more information, persons may call 676-5437 or visit www.hendrickscountyparks.org.
