CHS runners compete at Shakamak Invite

SHAKAMAK -- The Cloverdale coed cross country team traveled to Shakamak Saturday for the Shakamak Invite.

Joe Rumley led the Cloverdale boys' team with a 15th place finish with a time of 18:21, with Nick Cupp placing 43rd in a time of 20:05. Chris Worthington was 46th with a time of 20:25, with Devon Nees placing 50th with a time of 20:56. Jake Waycott and Aaron Whitlock finished 51st and 52nd, respectively.

For the girls, Claudia Monnett finished fifth overall with a time of 21:50 to pace the Clovers. Amillia Nally was 22nd, while Ashley Nees was 24th and Stephanie Spencer was 36th. Laura Worthington placed 39th, with Kalay Reed ended her day with a 50th place finish.

The junior varsity boys saw Garrett Brackin run a time of 23:57, with Taulbee Jackson posting a time of 24:09. Ethan Maners ran a time of 24:25, Kody Kolher a time of 25:40 and Michael Gramer a time of 26:50.

Last Thursday, Cloverdale traveled to Tri-West for a dual meet with the Bruins.

Rumley once again led the Cloverdale pack with a time of 18:55. He was followed Jourdan Smith, Waycott, Nees, Cupp and Whitlock to sweep the top six places. Worthington was eighth for the Clovers. Waycott, Nees and Cupp all posted personal best times.

Monnett led the girls' team with a fifth place finish. Nally followed her in eighth, Nees in 11th and Worthington in 12th.
