Elton 'Daddy Wayne' Hughes

Elton "Daddy Wayne" Hughes, 77, Quincy, passed away at The Waters of Greencastle on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011.

He was born to Cecil and Theda Hughes in Rice Lake, Wis., on Nov. 20, 1933.

Elton spent eight years in the Navy, serving in Korea.

He worked at May and Co. for 35 years and at Sackett's Tavern for several years.

He is survived by wife Mary, daughters Linda Masco of Indianapolis and Laura Cabell of Indianapolis; sons Michael of Cloverdale, David of Cloverdale and Mark of Martinsville; eight grandchildren, Leesa, Chaz, Kerisa, Kyle, Tracy, Alex, Jordan and Joshua; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecil, mother Theda and son Duncan Dewayne.

At his request, there will be no services held.
