North Putnam Thespian Troupe 1478 will be presenting Tim Kelly's "Terror by Gaslight" this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 12.

The show will be presented each night at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Admission is $4.

The action takes place in 19th-century Philadelphia, where Dr. Cyrus Norton (Kyle Cunningham), a brilliant but eccentric surgeon, is creating an "anatomical museum."

He needs cadavers, which by law can only be obtained from the gallows. So he is forced to deal with Gin Hester (Rebekah Thomas) and her partner Scrubbs (Zach Franklin), two grave robbers with no concern about where the corpses come from.

Dr. Norton is assisted in his efforts by daughter Marilyn (Micayla Jones), sister Constance (Andrea Higgins), longtime companion Dr. Withers (Colton Cox), and a student, William Dover (Glenn Schmick).

Rounding out the cast are Chris Poore as Edward Daniels, Eli Klein as Det. Harrison, Cheyanne Elliott as Opal, Emmy Rees as Kitty and Samantha Flannelly as Mrs. Culp.

The production is directed by Linda Gjesvold with sound, lighting and crew assistance by Jamaica Rees, Wednesday Rees, David Kline, Richard Elliott, Katie Sexton and Courtney Hedges.
