FILLMORE -- Putnam County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Downing and Fillmore Town Marshal Darrel Bunten responded to an intrusion alarm at Hoosier Pete (Hoosier Market) in Fillmore at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Upon arrival, officers discovered front glass breakage and an open south door.

Investigation revealed the suspect or suspects only took a pink display case containing numerous packages of synthetic cannabis, varying in price from $24.99-$34.99.

Officers executed the search warrant and located items matching the description of items taken during the burglary. This resulted in the arrest of a Fillmore man named H. Tom Tomlinson.

Tomlinson was incarcerated at Putnam County Jail on probable cause for preliminary charges of burglary, theft and neglect of a dependant.

This is the second search warrant served in Fillmore resulting in arrests within the past two weeks.

The first search warrant resulted in the arrests of William Shane Lauderdale and Barry Douglas Bland for theft and possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park.

  • It sounds like Fillmore is on the right track! We have been noticing a several improvements in the area! Traffic is much slower, homes are selling, new homes being built, actual criminals being arrested!Didn't I read that a new council member wanted to get Fillmore, "Back where it used to be"?!! I should HOPE NOT!!

  • This whole story is complete BS. I am Tom Tomlinson and I am completely innocent and would love to expose this crooked county and its crooked police. I have witnesses and proof of two crooked cops involved in this case and will beat these false charges. A word of advice, do not move to putnam county Indiana, local law enforcement as well as the courts play by their own rules and will not hesitate to ruin a innocent persons life. Thank You

  • Oh yeah, the "matching" items found in my home were 3 (even though like 50 or so were stolen) empty baggies of spice. That was it. That's the whole case.
