Caine house on home tour

Sunday, November 13, 2011
The Michael and Georgeann Caine home, 105 Hilltop Lane, is one of five houses on the 29th annual Delta Theta Tau Holiday Home Tour set for Saturday, Nov. 19 from 1-5 p.m. The two-story home, built in 1965, was designed as a Federal-style home but a later addition of the front porch and columns gives the exterior a more colonial appearance. The interior features antiques, original family artwork and other keepsakes from the Caines' families as well as 30 years of Christmas collections. Peeler pottery pieces and a tea cup collection from Georgeann's grandmother are noteworthy. Georgeann has decorated one bedroom as her great-grandmother did, including an antique bedroom set from the 1880s and wedding ring quilt. A big dark dresser in the back bedroom reportedly dates back to the Civil War. Admission to the home tour is $8 per person. Tickets are available at Eitel's Flowers, Treasures on the Square, Ambler-Hill Florists, Almost Home and Curves.
