Fly her to the moon

Melba Brown has led an exciting life. She was neighbors with Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, owned her own businesses, worked at Dairy Queen for 17 years and now is celebrating her life at The Waters in Greencastle. On Wednesday the 103-year-old woman's life was celebrated before her Dec. 30 birthday by The Waters and Horizon Hospice Care. Brown received two ice cream cakes, a dozen roses from Eitel's Flowers and more. Andrew Knox (left) and his children Jackson and Caitlin, along with Brown's caretaker Linda Hall, celebrated the event with champagne, which Brown "tipped," wine and stories about Brown's life.
