Greencastle Christian Church presents 'It's a Wonderful Life, the Musical'

Tickets are now on sale for "It's a Wonderful Life, the Musical." The show will be produced Dec. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the worship center at Greencastle Christian Church.

Based on the beloved 1946 film, this musical faithfully follows George Bailey's life from his childhood dreams to his midlife disappointments and beyond, as we all take a journey to discover whether his life has mattered at all.

Cinematically scored and theatrically staged, this adaptation breathes musical life into a familiar story, while retaining the warmth, humor, and pathos of the original. It is a new holiday classic for devotees and newcomers alike.

Community members, Greencastle Christian Church members and Putnam County Playhouse veterans have teamed up to bring this classic Christmas tale to life.

The cast includes Dustin Bond as George Bailey, Meghan McClaine Armitage as Mary Bailey, Brad Sandy as Uncle Billy, Annie Weltz as Cousin Tilly, Shane Johnson as Harry Bailey, Ashlee Vitz as Violet Bick, Troy Pierce as Sam Wainwright, Jim Poor as Mr. Potter and Ric McFadden as Clarence.

Playing the Bailey children are Luke Norris as Pete, Arianna Pershing as Janie, Connor George as Tommy and Gayle Baugh as ZuZu.

Other cast members include Sarah Bond, Kathy Willer, Geoff Price, TJ Tincher, Jim Mannon, Lori Miller, Kyla Scheuermann, Mark Miller, Crystal Blanton, Pshemo Grajewki, Hector Carillo, Michael McClaine, Wesley Sampson, Sandi Rossok, Beth Evans, Tara Baugh, Jerrod Baugh, Karen Tongret, Kathy Deer, Lorissa Miller, Jalen Burnette, David Boswell and Lori Briones.

The children's chorus and nativity features Andrew Adams, Anthony Adams, Luke Faulstich, Cody Evans, Harris Weltz, Zoe Weltz, Carli Carillo, Denise Carillo, Anna Norris, Sarah Baker, Hannah Baker, Alice Howard and Suzannah Howard.

"It's a Wonderful Life, the Musical" will be directed by Putnam County Playhouse veteran Shelly McFadden with vocal direction by Lori Miller and choreography by Dance Workshop's Tara Gardner. Additional choreography will be done by Lori Briones, Sarah Bond and Ashlee Vitz.
