Cougars Fall to Tri-West

LIZTON -- The North Putnam girls' basketball team lost to Tri-West Tuesday 59-32.

The Cougars scored eight points in each of the four quarter, while allowing the Bruins to score in double-figures in each. North Putnam head coach Jim Brothers said the team committed too many turnovers on the night and never was able to get into the flow of the game.

LeeAnn Davis led the Cougars with seven points, with Madi Asbell and Morgan Robinson adding six points each. Samantha Lucas scored five points and Alex Land scored four. Kensy Asbell, Cayla Kientz chipped in four points each.

The Cougars will be back in action Tuesday when they host North Vermillion at 6 p.m.
